Medicinal Herb Class for Women - Planning Your Medicinal Herb Garden
Join Staci from Rising Herb Farm at beautiful Wasatch Lake in Poland, Indiana on Saturday February 28th for a hands-on herbal experience where, alongside other women, you’ll plan your 2026 medicinal herb garden! This offering is extra special, taking place at Wasatch Lake’s private Lodge.
This two-hour class includes a fireside chat centered around planning your very own medicinal herb garden. We will walk through ten different herbs to consider adding to your garden plan—from borage to angelica to skullcap!— including how to grow them in our climate and various ways to use them (medicinally, culinarily, creatively, spiritually). We will then gather to craft our very own 2026 medicinal garden plan on paper to guide your planting in the spring. You will leave this class with your completed medicinal garden plan, a cool season baby herb plant, a handout recapping the day’s herbs and gardening tips, new herb lady friends, and an empowerment gained by learning about new herbs and how to grow them for yourself.
Date/Time: Saturday February 28th, 2026 from 10am-12pm
Location: The Lodge at Wasatch Lake. 7301 Wasatch Lake Road, Poland Indiana.
Cost: $40 per person, which includes the class itself, supplies to craft your garden plan, and an herb seedling of your choice.
Class Size Limit: 20, Women and Girls Only
Registration Deadline: January 15th
Notes: This class is indoors and will be held rain or shine! In the event of snowy and/or icy winter conditions, class will be rescheduled for a future Saturday. All class materials will be provided, and locally baked refreshments, herbal tea, coffee, and water will be offered. Rising Herb Farm’s apothecary items (including dried herbs, herbal teas, tinctures, and other magical offerings) will also be open to shop before or after class. Details about arriving and parking at Wasatch Lake will be sent to students the week of class. The cost of class is used to purchase supplies for crafting in advance, so we cannot provide a refund for any reason unless the class is cancelled and not rescheduled.
Please send an email to risingherbfarm@gmail.com if you have any questions about this class or would like to request accommodations to make your attendance more comfortable. We are very happy to hear from you!
