May 2026 Medicinal Herb Class for Women - Herb Harvesting and Drying Best Practices
Join Staci at Rising Herb Farm on Saturday May 23rd for a hands-on herbal experience where, alongside other women, you’ll learn best practices for medicinal herb harvesting, drying, processing, and storing.
This two-hour class includes a tour of the late May herb garden, where we’ll learn about what to look for when choosing plants to harvest, when and how to harvest, how to choose an appropriate drying method, and how to process and store herbs to best preserve their medicinal qualities. Students will then get hands-on experience harvesting an herb of their choosing to take home and process themselves using best practices, with an emphasis on reciprocity for our plant allies. You’ll leave this class with a bundle of herbs, new herb lady friends, and an empowerment from knowing how to harvest herbs just like an herb farmer!
Date/Time: Saturday May 23rd, 2026 from 10am-12pm
Location: Rising Herb Farm, 5957 N Candlestick Corner Rd, Centerpoint IN
Cost: $20 per person, which includes the class itself, and a bundle of one herb to take home
Class Size Limit: 20, Women and Girls Only
Registration Deadline: March 31st
Notes: This class will be held rain or shine! In the event of thunderstorms or other dangerous weather, class will be rescheduled for a future Saturday. All class materials will be provided, and locally-baked refreshments, herbal tea, coffee, and water will be offered. Rising Herb Farm’s apothecary items (including dried herbs, herbal teas, tinctures, and other magical offerings) will also be open to shop before or after class.
