Medicinal Herb Class for Women - Blending Herbal Teas for Health and Enjoyment

Join Staci from Rising Herb Farm at beautiful Wasatch Lake in Poland, Indiana on Saturday December 13th for a hands-on herbal experience where, alongside other women, you’ll learn to how to blend nourishing and tasty herbal teas using medicinal plants! This offering is extra special, taking place at Wasatch Lake’s private Lodge.

This two-hour class includes a folklore-rich, fireside chat about the history of herbal teas (tisanes) in Europe and North America, and the nuances of creating these beverages for taste and nourishment. This chat is followed by an herbal tea tasting, an opportunity to sample common tea plants such as chamomile and nettle as well as more exotic plants like ashwagandha and valerian root! Finally, you will have the opportunity to craft your very own custom tea blend using organically-grown herbs, most of which are grown and harvested with warm intention at Rising Herb Farm. You will leave this class with your completed tea blend, new tea recipes to try at home, new plant lady friends, and an empowerment gained by making your own herbal teas and infusions!

Location: The Lodge at Wasatch Lake. 7301 Wasatch Lake Road, Poland Indiana.
Cost: $40 per person, which includes the class itself, an herbal tea tasting, and supplies to craft your very own tea blend.
Class Size Limit: 18, Women and Girls Only
Registration Deadline: November 16th
Notes: This class is indoors and will be held rain or shine! In the event of snowy and/or icy winter conditions, class will be rescheduled for a future date. All class materials will be provided, and locally baked refreshments and herbal tea will be offered. Rising Herb Farm’s apothecary items (including dried herbs, herbal teas, tinctures, and other magical offerings) will also be open to shop before or after class. Details about arriving and parking at Wasatch Lake will be sent to students the week of class. The cost of class is used to purchase supplies for crafting in advance, so we cannot provide a refund for any reason unless the class is cancelled.
