Join Staci on Saturday November 14th at beautiful Wasatch Lake in Poland, IN for a hands-on herbal experience where, alongside other women, you’ll learn about Indiana native plants and trees you can partner with for wellness and self-care year-round.
This two-hour class includes a fireside deep-dive into 10 Indiana native plants that are beautiful additions to the medicinal herb garden. Students will learn about each plant’s medicinal properties as well as how to propagate, nurture, or wildcraft her. Students will then get hands-on experience crafting a festive, spiced oxymel using our native American Elderberry (Sambucus canadensis)! You’ll leave this class with your completed oxymel, new herb lady friends, and an empowerment from knowing how to partner with native plants to enhance your health.
Date/Time: Saturday November 14th from 10am-12pm
Location: Wasatch Lake, 7301 Wasatch Lake Road, Poland, IN 47868
Cost: $40 per person, which includes the class itself at Wasatch Lake’s Longhouse Lodge, handouts, and oxymel supplies
Class Size Limit: 25, Women and Girls Only
Registration Deadline: October 1st
Notes: This class will be held rain or shine! In the event of snowy or icy weather, class will be rescheduled for Saturday December 12th 12pm-2pm. All class materials will be provided, and locally-baked refreshments, fruit, herbal tea, coffee, and water will be offered. Rising Herb Farm’s apothecary items (including dried herbs, herbal teas, tinctures, cosmetics, and other magical offerings) will also be available to shop before or after class. More details about this class will be sent to students the week of class. The cost of class is used to purchase supplies in advance, so we cannot provide a refund for any reason unless the class is cancelled and not rescheduled. Thank you for understanding!
