February 2027 Medicinal Herb Class for Women - Food as Medicine
Join Staci on Saturday February 20th at beautiful Wasatch Lake in Poland, IN for a hands-on herbal experience where, alongside other women, you’ll learn about the ways that herbs and wild foods can be incorporated into your own personal healing journey.
This two-hour class includes a fireside deep-dive into nourishing herbs and forageable leaves, roots, and fruits to seek out in early spring. Students will learn about the medicinal constituents in each plant, where to find it, and how to prepare it to get the most benefit. Students will then gather together for a feast of foods prepared with many nourishing plants for you to try!
You’ll leave this class with a list of plants to incorporate into your diet, new herb lady friends, and an empowerment from knowing how to find good food growing all around you (and perhaps leave with some leftovers, too!).
Date/Time: Saturday February 20th from 10am-12pm
Location: Wasatch Lake, 7301 Wasatch Lake Road, Poland, IN 47868
Cost: $40 per person, which includes the class itself at Wasatch Lake’s Longhouse Lodge, handouts, and lunch.
Class Size Limit: 25, Women and Girls Only
Registration Deadline: December 1st
Notes: This class will be held rain or shine! In the event of snowy or icy weather, class will be rescheduled for a later date. All class materials will be provided, and locally-baked refreshments, fruit, herbal tea, coffee, and water will be offered, in addition to wild foods served. Rising Herb Farm’s apothecary items (including dried herbs, herbal teas, tinctures, cosmetics, and other magical offerings) will also be available to shop before or after class. More details about this class will be sent to students the week of class. The cost of class is used to purchase supplies in advance, so we cannot provide a refund for any reason unless the class is cancelled and not rescheduled. Thank you for understanding!
