Elizabethan Lemon Cakes
In the 1690's, a noble English family emigrated to the Bahamas, bringing a manuscript of all of their prized recipes with them. This Lemon Cake was among them. This is the lemoniest cake you've ever had-- sweet, yellow, and moist, topped with tart lemon icing and garnished with pomegranate seeds for a pop of garnet color.
Cake comes baked in a 9”x13” aluminum pan.
Ingredients: Organic AP flour, organic sugar, Kerrygold salted butter, farm fresh eggs, organic lemons, organic whole milk, organic powdered sugar, vanilla extract, baking powder, baking soda, Icelandic sea salt, pomegranate seeds.
